What are Loose Parts and what can you do with them? Well…..Here is a non-exhaustive list of creations by parents and children that defined the Loose Parts Play event:

Indian Airforce Vehicles, ISRO’s Chandraayan, an Airport, an Amazon Aeroplane, a Harley Davidson replica, a Maze, an Igloo, a Christmas Tree, a mini version of Titanic & Jurassic Park, a Gallery of Musical Instruments that produces sounds you’ve never heard before, an Ice Cream Cart, a Windmill, a Pizza Oven, Aisa’s Kitchen, a replica of the Artic/Antartic, a Train, a Pyramid, an Organic Farm, a Glittering Castle for Elsa and a Tall Castle for the Boys, a layered Cascading Tower Bubble Game, a Complex Shape achieved using Newspaper rolls, a Gas station, a Tree, a Multilevel Car Parking facility, a Race Car and a Kiddo Riders Car Racing Track , a Cloth Tent and a Water bottle Tent, a mini restaurant, a replica of the Jungle with a thoughtful theme ‘Save Forests. The objective of Lil Pallikkoodam was to create awareness and inspire parents and children of Coimbatore and beyond to explore and adopt Loose Parts Play as a creative, cost effective and an exciting alternative to expensive Toys and Gadgets, through a community engagement initiative organized in association with Kovai Vizha 2020.
